I founded LawTechLearn because of the exciting times through which we are living. The convergence of law and technology is unfolding all around us, and you and I get to build a future where innovation and law coalesce seamlessly, for the benefit of humanity and our profession.
For over 30 years, I've passionately shaped the crossroads of law and technology. As a seasoned legal practitioner, I've led impactful work in intellectual property, technology, privacy, securities, and governance for Fortune 50 companies, law firms, startups, and nonprofits. Here, I've driven tech legal integration for each entity for which I have worked, from the early internet to AI today. Guiding the C-suite, senior management, managing partners, associates, counsels, professors, paralegals, and other legal professionals, I've crafted training, policies, procedures, and strategies for smooth internal and external operations during demanding technological advancements.
As a law professor, I have taught in the areas of technology, ethics, professional responsibility, securities regulation, mergers & acquisitions, contract negotiation, corporate governance, and constitutional law, each time with an eye for creating for my students new, innovative methods of learning that reflect the rigor and ethics of our profession in the context of the modern demands of today's practitioner.
A native of Woodstock, NY, the proud daughter of an artist and an IBM engineer, a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Law School, a Warren Weaver Fellow, a board member for several not-for-profits, and a Tony-nominated producer of the Broadway production of The Scottsboro Boys, I look forward to us combining our mutual talents to build a better future for all.
As an employment lawyer with little, if any, tech savvy, but who recognizes the importance of knowing and understanding AI and how it shapes my practice, Dauna’s course is simply amazing. Her presentations were clear, concise, and expertly delivered, making the content accessible to lawyers, like me, who initially may have felt out of their depth. She seamlessly intertwined legal principles with practical descriptions of AI, making it abundantly clear how this technology works and is reshaping the legal landscape. Lastly, Dauna’s fun. Her style is engaging, and she will put you at ease quickly and actually make you enjoy adding this expertise to your toolbox.

Dauna conducted a training for my filmmaking students on the intersection of law and AI in the film industry, and I can't express how enlightening and enriching the experience was for all of us. What struck me the most was the clarity with which complex legal concepts and AI technologies were explained to a group of high school and college students by Dauna. She managed to demystify these subjects, making them accessible to us and, as a result, was peppered with thoughtful questions from these young filmmakers. My students loved the experience and talked about it days later. This webinar truly exceeded my expectations in every way

As an operations lead for advanced technology start-ups and other complex organizations, I appreciate Dauna’s ability to truly listen, digest the issues, and then problem-solve. While I have not had the opportunity to hire her as counsel, I have had the privilege of bouncing a range of business concerns off of her as a friend. I cannot speak highly enough of her legal and technological expertise and her ability to translate complex legal jargon into actionable insights is nothing short of remarkable.

Dauna recently provided training to Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU)’s membership, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering the theatre community. She presented to an audience of seasoned lawyers, theatre producers, writers, actors and other theater professionals, regarding AI, the law and the recent writers’ and actors’ strikes. As the founder of TRU, I cannot overstate how invaluable this training was for our attendees. Dauna managed to distill complex legal concepts and AI technologies into digestible and accessible content, making it easy for our members, many of whom are artists and creatives, to grasp these critical topics with ease. The interactive nature of the training allowed for meaningful discussions and encouraged our members to ask questions and seek clarity.
